Into the Wild Elephant Camp Chiang Mai Ethical Elephant Experience Into the Wild Elephant Camp is an ethical elephant sanctuary located in the peaceful Mae Wang District of Chiang Mai. Established in 2016, the camp provides a safe and natural home for retired and rescued elephants, allowing them to roam freely through forests, grasslands, and rivers without riding, performances, or stressful activities. Visitors are invited to observe the elephants in their natural habitat while learning about their history, behavior, and the importance of responsible elephant conservation. The camp works closely with local Karen communities and supports sustainable tourism by creating local employment and contributing to nearby villages. Guided by experienced English-speaking staff, guests enjoy a meaningful wildlife experience that focuses on elephant welfare, education, and respect for nature.
